BOYCOTTING OF JAPS TO BRING ACTION BY U.S.

Japanese, facing boycotts in their attempts to reestablish their businesses on the West Coast, will have the protection not only of the War Relocation Authority but of the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the War Food Administration as well, it was revealed yesterday in statement to The Times by Dillon S. Myer, national director W.R.A.

"We are not studying the whole problem of boycotts against returned evacuees and are referring all cases that appear to involve antitrust on the principle that evacuees, who are returning to the West Coast with Army clearance, must have complete freedom to earn their livelihood and contribute to the war food production program," Myer said.

"Any efforts to hamper food products through normal trade channels, particularly at this time, would be tantamount to sabotage."
