THEY WILL UNITE

The Brickmakers to Organize Against Japanese.

Their First Union in This City Will Be Especially Directed Against Japanese Labor.

The brickmakers of this city will, before the week is at an end, form themselves into a union. The direct cause of this movement is the employment of Japanese labor at the brick kilns of Gribble, Duhamel & McGrath.

The local brickmakers claim that they cannot compete with Jap labor, and that the force in other brick yards will have to be cut down or the Japs will take their places.

There is considerable talk among the brickmakers of declaring a boycott upon the above firm of brickmakers after the union has been placed upon a firm foundation, unless they employ strictly union help. In fact it was with this idea in mind that the union will be organized.
