EXCLUSIONISTS WILL MEET HERE FEBRUARY 3

Local Japanese-Korean League Is Making Plans for Big Pacific Coast Convention.

The date for holding the proposed monster Pacific Coast convention of the opponents of Oriental immigration to be held in this city has been set for February 3. For some time the local Japanese-Korean Exclusion League has been planning for the convention, but the date was decided upon only a day or two ago.

This convention will be composed of representatives of all the exclusion societies on the Pacific Coast from San Francisco to Vancouver, B.C., and as far inland as the Rocky Mountains. The local leaders of the movement expect delegates numbering from 300 to 500 in attendance.

The real purpose of the convention is to formulate a general campaign of action and specifically to draft a set of resolutions urging Congress to enact favorable legislation for the exclusion of coolie labor from the Orient.

The date for the ball to be given by the local league has been fixed for December 7 at the Labor Temple.
