Guard Who Killed Jap Is Innocent

TULELAKE, Calif., July 7.--(AP)--Pvt. Bernard Goe, Army guard who shot and fatally wounded Shiochi James Okmoto [Okomoto], Japanese-American at the segregation center here last May 24, was found innocent of manslaughter last night by a general court-martial.

Five colonels, one lieutenant colonel and two captains deliberated an hour before returning the verdict. War relocation officials and Japanese at the camp were observers at the court-martial.
