V.F.W. MAY ASK OUSTER OF JAPS
SPOKANE, June 15.--(AP)--The Chronicle said yesterday a resolution demanding that all Japanese in the United States be transported to islands such as the Gilberts and Marshalls and immediately placed under Army or Navy supervision, would be presented to the annual encampment of the Washington Department, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The newspaper said a Tacoma post was sponsoring the measure, adding it also urged that if such action involved constitutional rights of American-born Japanese, Congress should pass a law permitting the drafting of such nationals for construction on the islands to establish "a colony for themselves after hostilities cease."
Registration officials expect 2,000 to attend the four-day meeting.
