28 Japs on Trial For Refusal to Serve

FORT McCLELLAN, Ala., April 12.--(AP)--Courts-martial are in progress at this infantry replacement center for 28 Japanese-Americans who refused last month to accept military training.

An officer who declined use of his name said Brig. Gen. Wallace C. Philoon, commanding general of the center, probably would make a formal announcement in regard to the trials on their conclusion. Findings will be reviewed by the Judge Advocate General's office in Washington.
