ALIEN PROPERTY SEIZED ON COAST

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 25.--(AP)--The United States alien property custodian reported today his agency had taken over $29,000,000 worth of alien properties in the Pacific Coast states up to mid-1943, of which $27,000,000 was Japanese-owned.

In California the custodian held assets of 42 enterprises in Washington 8 and in Oregon 1. Of the 51 businesses taken over on the coast, 43 were Japanese, seven German and one Italian. German-owned assets were rated at $1,700,000, and Italian at $300,000.

The national seizures were 318 businesses, with assets of $375,000,000.

Liquidation of properties, where deemed in the national interest, has been completed for many of the corporation. Farm properties in Utah and Oregon have been offered for sale under sealed bids.
