Dear Miss Haglund,

Am sending under separate cover a copy of first draft of "Service with the WRA 1942-46." After reading it you will understand the need for editing it. Your comments & criticism will be appreciated as I will be editing it for some time.

I have written Northwestern University asking permission to include your "Behind Barbed Wire" with appropriate acknowledgements to be given. Will advise you of the results.

If N.W. Univ grants permission to use your article then I would delete from mine those things which seem to be a duplicate, like description of the physical plant & facilities. If granted to use it I presume I could just Xerox if the page size would fit on an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper in which case I think my piece should be single rather than double space, what do you think?

Since you left Minidoka in the summer of 44 you missed the hastle[?] the administration had in closing down the Center. That was when I had great pressure to return to W.R.A. As it turned out when the leaders were convinced it was safe to return there was little difficulty.

Sincerely,
George L. Townsend
