Dear Iseri Family,

Your letter of 16th received on 24th the most pleasure and cheerful things for us detenies [detainees] is to hear from home often and package of any kind like bunch of boys. There was snow on the ground and we still have them on keep adding on right along. Never had a chance to though [thaw] out yet. Up to about 2 weeks ago we had icicles hanging over the eaves to ground about 10 feet long or more along the building and when it shines look as if big bunch of diamond laying on and [illegible] are like but bunch of flowers, sure is wonderful senery [scenery].

We are living here like brothers and fathers, and some of us are 35 year younger oldest one are 25 years older than myself, and we eat 180 loaves Bread for toast in the morning and [censored] gallons coffee, and have a small pan that cooks 3 [illegible] of rice at once and a half side of beef, so you all can imagine what a big family we are. We get a very little rain here. When cloudy it snows, if it isn't so cold its nice climate to live I guess. I am living nice and comfortable. Although I do like to come home as soon as my condition permits freedom. Will write again in a few days, as soon as you hear from Mike let me know, so I can write to him. Give my regards to everybody and take good care of [illegible]. Send word to Emmy Marumoto I've got her letter on 14th with thanks. Will write soon.
