Dear Sir:

We have your letter of January 10th asking for a travel permit to visit the Minidoka Relocation Center. We are sorry to advise you that we will be unable to give you travel permission to visit Minidoka for the purpose for which you mentioned in your letter.

We can certainly understand your sorrow and concern about thanking friends for whatever shympathy [sympathy] they gave you. However, we feel that these people can be notified of your appreciation by mail. Our WRA regulations say that we cannot issue a travel permit for this purpose. We are enclosing a form letter which explain the policy in issuing travel permits for visits.
