If you follow these instructions, no unfortunate accidents will befall you.

1. All men 50 years of age or older and all women and children will continue to live in their houses and caves as they have up to now.

2. All men from 17 to 50 years of age will come to the American Army immediately upon arrival of the American forces in their vicinity.

3. There will be no walking around at night. It is absolutely forbidden to approach the positions of the American forces at night.

4. It is forbidden to wear army uniforms, school uniforms or any other kind of uniforms.

5. Stay away from roads as much as possible.

6. If you move along with the Japanese forces, or if you aid the Japanese forces, you will receive the same treatment as the Japanese forces.

Do not be afraid. The American Army will treat everyone kindly and with dignity.
