Men of Okinawa! As you all know, most of Okinawa is now under control of the American Army. Your parents, sisters, and children, who are under the protection of the kind Americans, await your return with anxiety. Not only your families but the domestic animals that you left behind are eagerly awaiting the return of their masters.

Your families are finding it difficult to return to normal living without you young men. There are no teachers to start schools for the children. Although sufficient medical supplies are furnished by the American Army, there are no Okinawan doctors. There are American doctors, but they do not understand the language and therefore cannot give as good service as the American Army desires.

The duty of the young men of Okinawa is to return and work for their families and for Okinawa! Therefore, return to your families who are eagerly awaiting you.
