Dear Gang!

How are you all? Just a few lines to let you know I still think of the ole Procurement Office and Staff. I hope you all had a very pleasant Christmas and New Years, goodness knows I did, tho I did have some very blue minutes thinking of my family & friends back in camp.

Well, the staff must be quite different now. Who's reading this? Miyo, of course -- you must know everything about the office from soup to nuts, and Haruye must be here, still full of the giggles, I know --

and Sachi -- hey, how about a letter? And Tom, I can see you plugging away in your little corner -- that is if Mr. Merrill & Mrs. Mann haven't played their favorite game of moving again. And Warren still there? I'm awfully sorry you have to leave but good-luck to you I hear Jimmy's back too. He ought to be happy now [illegible] I also hear there are 2 new file clerks & stenos. Esther has relocated, hasn't she? Will someone please tell me how Rosie, Helen & Grace are? I hear from the rest, Mits, Marion, Junks, Jinx and Martha and they are all fine and doing well.

Its grand here in Philly, and the evacuees are starting to come again. We have about 200 now, but that is a very small amount for a big city like this. The people are very friendly & would go out if their way to give you a helping hand. The weather is swell, too. Here it is the end of January already and I really haven't felt the cold at all! There isn't too much to do in the way of entertainment besides the usual movies, skating, bowling, etc, but time does fly and it is never monotonous. Really, there's nothing like living on the "outside" again. Let me put my 2 cents worth in to

put in a plug for relocation -- but I realize it will be different now that they are drafting the boys again. I suppose my 2 brothers will be going, so I am doubly glad I have already relocated and am suited enough to help my family when they leave.

Well, I would love to hear from any and all of you. Hope the boilerman's strike didn't inconvenience you too badly. Tsk, tsk, was I ever surprised to hear the model camp had a strike!

Don't work too hard, and hello to everyone from

--Dorothy
