Dear Brothers,

The days are gradually changing more & more. Gosh, the sun gets up at 8:00 and goes down at 4:30 and it really makes it a short day. Since the weather has been so cold lately I have frostbites on every toe (practically) and it doesn't feel too good. First it iches and then it aches & keeps changing. Now, I just came back from the shower and my feet have swollen from the frostbites and it hardly goes into my shoes. Gosh, it really does hurt and I can hardly walk. I put on that medicine that you sent to pop hoping that my feet will get well.

Yes, we did have a nice Thanksgiving but it didn't seem like those that we used to have. Just as you said. Well, I hope you were thankful as we were. Tell us about your Thanksgiving.

So you had a dream huh! Well I didn't have a dream but pop had a dream like this. One day Towru brought home a funny girl and her mother and this mother said to pop. Everybody wants her (my daughter) to be their wife but Towru asked so I said Towru can have her for his bride and pop said that was the funniest dream he's had for a long time. Pop was kind of laughing as he told us of that dream. Hay, Towru, what do you think of it? Yoshiko Hamamoto gives her regards.

Well, what do you think of those pictures? Lousy huh. Makes me laugh at those people & myself when I see the pictures.

I can imagine how you laugh at it all the time. Huh!!!!

Joe, I guess if Towru looks like you too much your going to have a heck of a time trying to get out of all those fixes he'll put you in.

Washing must be quite hard yet for Towru. Does Towru cook good? I can imagine eating his dinners.

I'll close until I write again.

Last night I saw a picture of sugarbeet working & it really is hard work. Also a Buck Jones picture. I bet that's where I got the frost bites. (It was too cold)

So long,

Masako

P.S. What do you think of those letters that I've been writing lately. Long huh!

I try to scrape up all I can so that you may not miss much of the Manzanar news.

I just ate & we had fish (mackerel, rice, cabbage, beets, and canned apricots.

Miyeko Nagai got married last sunday to that san pedro guy & their reception consisted of Icecream, soda, sandwiches, manju, ritz crackers, orange, cake. Mom & pop went to the wedding.

I guess I better started studying my English test and the other home works which I haven't finished yet.
