Dear Joe,

I just have a little time to write this letter on a peice a scratch paper that I have.

I didnt go to sunday school because I had hair trouble and my hair didnt dry so I had to leave the curlers on and it would look kind of silly going to sunday school with curlers so I just didnt go. Gosh, this darn old type writer ribbon doesnt go on good at all. This is the trouble. The one that we had were all out so i ordered another one and then they sent me the wrong one which is red and black and it just doesnt go on right but its better now.

I saw some of the kids that went to sunday school and boy oh boy they said that it came out pretty good so then miss potts would give us one free and then let us buy some if we wanted any. gosh i sure am glad that she took our pictures. Just wait till you see me. it sure will be a good surprise and I bet you will feel better if you see me as i am today and not the way i used to be when I was 12 years old. Then on the same night they had two speakers and one of them were Stanley jones and the other was a lady named trout. Then I went to the show and saw the picture called the amazing mrs holiday and it really was an enjoyable pictue that every body liked.

Yesterday was monday and I had a test and I didnt have it right and im worried and then today again I had a test and then I thenk that i didnt do it good so my conscience it really hurting me and I sure feel sad about everything. When I saw towru after school he said that dike had come into the camp and then he got the telegram and it was from you and he sure was a happy soul. me too, I was also glad for him. The right after that some one knocked on the door and who do you suppose it was, well it was rev. nicholson and i really was jumping with alot of joy because he had brought the radio and it sure does work nice. but one of the troubles is that when a person in the same barrack shaves with the electric shaver, that sound comes on the radio and it is a lot of nusance. I sure am glad though. Boy i just love that good little radio of ours with its 6 push bottons. Do you have a radio in the G.D.I.? towru is planning to bring that little radio that he brought to manzanar when he first came and I really think that that radio will work better then it does here in the camp. Then towru asked me if I wanted to serve at the Halloween party and naturally I said yes and so again Im happy. Then at study hall in school Aiji said that his pop just came back from the internee camp and then again that was another surprise for me and then I really was happy for him too. Gosh I don't know what has put the jinx on us but it really is a week a swell surprise. I bet if you were here with us you would be happy toooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Then I have to thank you with all of my heart for that little birthday greeting which we sent to me on a post card. it sure was a surprise for me. I really do hope that you are getting along okay as you probably on your vacation now.

Say did you eat that honey dew? if you didnt eat it it really is rotten by now. I hope that it didnt get rotten.

Towru must have showed the telegram to Mr. Heath because they have set a date for towrus leave which is monday and I think towru will be very glad as soon as he gets going. The date is Nov. 1 unless something happens.

I have to type my story so I will write again very soon.
