Dear Joseph,

This a letter to inform you that I have been cleared and thus eligible for leave clearance. Just to make a long story short, Washington made a mistake and I always did have "yes" to question 28. Thats why I couldn't remember what I said other than "yes" although it was sometime ago. I'll explain in minute detail the whole situation later. The only thing I need now is word from you saying that theres a place to stay and also add "you think you have a job for me."

Dike is going to visit his family between semesters and I'm going to return with him. So I'll have to have word from you very soon. You had better address me a telegram something like this:

ROOM AND BOARD AVAILABLE - STOP.

ALSO GOOD JOB OFFER.

[Page 2]

You had better get it under way immediately because Dikes going to return around November first or second which is just a little over a week. So don't try to send word by air mail or other sources other than telegram.

I might send some luggage ahead of time so if a hand trunk full of junk comes, don't be surprised. We are expecting Dike to arrive around October 25th. I'm writing this letter during lunch and I've got to go back any minute now so I'll sign off. By the way, I'm working at the Pump house #75 across the highway since Mr. Kado relocated to Maryknoll in New York. Also, the suit-cases arrived, but in fairly bad shape but it will be okay. Returned Ken's stuff after inspection by M.P.'s but they didn't take anything.

Sincerely,

Towru Nagano

P.S. Will be expecting that telegram in 4 or 5 days. everything depends on you. So-long.
