Dear Joe,

I should have written you before this but every time I would think about it some thing would come up so I didn't get at it. Mrs. Boulton had her tonsils removed a week ago and has gotten along fine so we are hoping that she will not have any more quinzy and ruhmatic pains, the rest of the family are O.K. We hope you are enjoying good health.

Well football is in the air again, Uni. Hi. won their game with Fairfax last week. U.C.L.A is not doing so well I believe they have played 3 games and lost them all which must be discouraging for them. The Affolters are still in your house and seem to be taking good care of things. I have quite a bit of money on hand any time you need it, Just let me know.

How are your folks and will they be sent to some other section of the U.S. as I hear that different ones are to be relocated in some other sections of the country as soon as it is possible to do so. I went to a 4-H Club stock show this afternoon which I enjoyed and learned some things about animals that I didn't know. I shouldn't say just stock show as they had fruit and vegetables which had

been canned by the girls also garments they had made, some of the girls displayed a dehydrator and gave a talk on its usage. there was many intersting things it is certainly fine for young people to have an opportunity. We hope you are having all your expectations filled in your school and that you are enjoying it for it is really a lot of fun if we do enjoy the thing we are doing. I heard a joke the other night over at night school which I enjoyed and I thought you might like it. An old man 90 yrs old was sick and a friend came in to visit with him and while they were sitting there talking they heard a terrible noise out in another room and the friend said what is that noise, the old man said that is Pa, he is drunk again.

We are attending what is called Town Meeting class at the high school discussing post war peace, we have a different speaker each night. next week Edward Everett Horton is to speak for us. well it would be nice to have you drop in and see us but untill you do we will have to be content visiting by mail. We wish you the best of success in all your endeavors.

Your Friends Mr. & Mrs. Boulton
