Dear Joe,

Sorry I haven't written in such a long time, but since I am involved in school politics along with 5 solids, its keeps me pretty well occupied. I don't even have time during noon but today is a exception. Well Joe, a number of things are happening out here and I'll give you the low down the best I can remember them. First of all, the tennis courts are in full swing and guys are really at it. The court has chicken wire all around it and they have two courts. The other two are not completed as yet. They have a tennis club with the fee of $1.00. You have to be in the club to play. Although the court is very irregular, we see some good matches. I think James Ito (Otsuo) is about the top man. Baseball is now in full swing and although there aren't half as many teams as last year, we see some good talent. All the kitchens now have air-cooled ventilators which help them a lot. School has improved so much here that I don't have that nack of going out any more. Back home, University took the championship hands down and Patton has the times of 9.9 and

21.2 next fastest to Hal Davis. I heard he did 9.8 but I'm not sure. I think we got third in the city although the possibility of a second was still in hand when I saw the results. As expected, Jefferson walked off with it with too much power. Here's one to put in the books, we have two baseball chuckers both last names being Smith and they have each pitched a no-hit no-run game! Art pitched one against Hamilton, and Norbert one against St Monica. They have lost one league game and are fighting it out with Fairfax for the championship. Ok, by the way, in the league finals, Unihi won both the varsity and the "B" for the first time in the history of the school. I guess that's enough said about Unihi but they did alright in sports this year. You mentioned relocating pretty soon, but I'm kind of hesitant. I'm going to graduate July 4 but the senior Bees have to go to summer school. We feel the chances on a family would be much worse than on a individual. But I'll give you some more low down on that later. Its almost one o'clock and I have to be getting to school, so I sign off.

Sincerely yours,

Towru Nagano.

P.S. Tom Ichien is going out Wed. June 3, so be expecting him soon. He will be at the hostile.
