Dear Joe,

Everyone here O.K. Weather is fine and we are getting all we can eat so we have a lot to be thankful for.

Bill went in yesterday for physical and was placed in 1-L.B. class (Limited Service) but the quota for that class is filled up at present so he will have to wait for the next draft.

How are you feeling and how is school going? Have you heard any thing further regarding relocation of your mother and brother? we haven't had any more communication from Washington regarding them.

I was over to collect the

rent Monday. Mr. Affolter has just about recovered from his illness and expects to return to work in about another week, the place looks O.K. and every thing is functioning in a satisfactory manner.

We are glad you had the opportunity of hearing Stanley Jones, he is a wonderful man and has written some very good books such as Christ of the Indian Road, The Man no Body knows and several others, if you have the time to read them I know you would enjoy them. I have heard him several times and always enjoyed what he had to say. I believe he was sent to

India by the Methodist Church a good many years ago and during that time the Methodist Conference wanted to make him Bishop but he refused as he felt he could do more for humanity as a missionary.

I can't hardly see what I am writing so I had better close, hope you can read it.

Your Friend
