Dear Joe,

This morning I got up at 6:05 and got dressed and washed up. Ate breakfast at 6:45, came back and washed clothes and then washed my hair. Then I took a shower and came home and found your letter which you had written on "Easter." Gee your letter was sure interesting.

Say, cooking must be getting to be a lots of fun. Hay, what do you mean. Moma didn't make those all bran muffins. I did. Did you forget that all ready? Those things you said you boiled and ate with mayonaise are called (artichokes.) Please don't remind me of all those delicious eats. My mouth is just watering. I bet your going to be a better cook then I am, the way you brag about it in every letter.

Boy how I wish I could see Kay Odahara's place. I must be a super place.

I better quit until its after lunch. Boy after you hear what I eat I bet you'll pitty me compared to what you eat every day. I'll tell you something just before I eat.

The Nishis' had their phonograph player sent up here and they play it all day. They taught me some jitterbug and that's a lots of fun. Boy I dont do that often because school comes first. Do you remember how to dance?

Rumors have been flying around camp saying that the 2 boys were murdered in Chicago. Is that true? (I hope it really isn't true) Boy it had me scared for quite a while. Don't forget to answer this question. Be careful about this incident.

I just ate & boy what a lousy lunch. Rice, garbage, corn and what nots. Gee you make me think of the olden days when we used to have a family life together.

Tonight we are going to see a movie. A show at least 5 years old. The "Pecks Bad Boy" is the picture.

They don't have any new shows but just the same same thing comes. The old shows are better then nothing.

Towru's working today and its fine that he has two jobs. Mama has gone to sewing school. Popas at the Rec Hall as usual. No tournaments are on as yet so papa doesn't bring any prizes home.

Gorsh but its awfully hot today and nothing to do as usual. It hasn't snowed on the hills lately so I guess summer is getting pretty near.

Yesterday they had the parade in front of the Ad. building and it was terrible. Normal parades are quite different from these kinds we have here. I didn't march in shorts after all so the better it was for me Towru's class of Senior "Bs" were marching and they were dressed like tramps. The name of their class was the Bagabons.

Well theres nothing more to gossip about so I'll close.

Always,

your sis.

Masako.

(Don't study too hard)

Keep yourself in good health.
