Dear Joe,

Thank your for all of the letters we have been receiving from you.

We are all fine and hope to find you pretty well. Papa had a cold last week but he's okay now. Gee I fell lousy today with a gum ache. My decayed tooth has made a big fag or bump which is swollen and every time I eat hard food it really hurts but I'm going to the dentist to see what he'll do about it.

Talking about your school, it must have been funny when the freshman were paused and had to run around on the track field. Boy it sure made me laugh alot. School is okay down here and I think every things okay. One thing I hate is the southern teacher. She grades just terribly funny and I think she isn't such a hot teacher. I'm getting to like my math because I am being able to understand it better than I used to. One period that I really am sad in is the science class. That subject is just too too complicated for me and it just won't go into my good lopsided brain.

I got a swell Easter card form the Varins and also some pictures. The pictures show Mr. & Mrs. Varin with Punky and they are all ready to go on ride with the dogs sled. Mr. Varin sure got fat. He really looks terrific. Boy I couldn't believe it was him for a while. Boy Punky is rally getting big. He looks pretty strong going out doors in 30 below degrees.

This year we will not be together as we used to be but remember all those dear Easter holidays that we have spent together. I wish you the "Happiest Easter."

Next Saturday (April 24) we are going on a picnic to the hill for out 1st year anniversary which is April the 26th. This will be first time I'll be getting

out of camp. Towru's pretty lucky. At least every Saturday he goes to the hills to work but I whish I could really go with him.

Last Saturday I went to the show to see King of Kings. Gee, it really was good. The life of Christ. It was presented to the Manzanar people by father Lavery. It was really old. That picture came out in 1924. Also I saw "Superman Comic." It was good too. I was weighed in Gym yesterday and I seem to have lost another half pound. Now I weigh 115 1/2 when at home I used to weigh 107 lbs. My height has also seem to have shrunk. I am 5-ft 1 1/2 inches when I used to be 5'2" at home.

There was a letter from Isabelle Gates and poppy has sent it to you but to make sure that you answer it I am just reminding you.

When you wrote the Southern style, I didn't like it because I hear it every day from my social living teacher so I really can't stand to even read it.

Two weeks ago Mr. Odahara, George Hahara and Kenny went to Idaho and they seem to like it pretty much. Especially George. He says theres nothing like being free again. Masato was going but he had said no that he wasn't loyal to the U.S. so he couldn't go but he changed it to yes and he hasn't received his permit as yet. The poor guy really looked sad because he wanted to go with George and Kenny. Kenny wrote to Mac and said that they were in an old shack. Formally owned by Mexicans. The bells going to ring so I'll close it.

So long

Your sis

Misako

P.S. Do you go dancing? Dike writes & tells his mom he goes dancing.
