Hi Joe!

We received your letter of Kata Kana yesterday. It was lots of fun to read it.

We are all well and was glad to hear that you went to the doctor to get your examination. Mama was glad to hear what was wrong and tells you to take good care of yourself. Even if the doc soaked you 5 bucks we don't care because health is really important.

Today is Saturday & yesterday I washed my hair & just now I took a shower and took the curlers off. Mama is working on her patterns. She goes to sewing school and likes it pretty well.

Gee it sure fells good to get out of school during the first part of the semester. I'm getting used to my program now. I have gym in the afternoon and when summer comes I dread the heat. Next Monday at school (March 15) we girls are going to get dressed up in Manzanar gym shorts. Gee! They sure lousy looking things. There are lots of colors but out of the colors Manzanar garment factorie has chosen lavender & boy are all the girls kicking. Gee I sure am going to fell like a dope & I mean dope.

We came out okay in our finals but theres one thing that Towru did that I couldn't do. He stayed up from all morning to 12:30 and woke up at 3:00 & studied until five & went back to sleep & got up at 6:00. Gee surprising. Just like the night of the fire patrol.

The latest I stayed up was 11:00 and the next day I couldn't hardly wake up. I'll never try that stunt again, but I don't know about Towru.

As I was writing your letter came & so we read it. We'll all try to read. Monday we are going to have a reading test. Boy Towru had it and he said it was pretty hard.

We also received a letter from the Clavelots & they say they are all well. They sent a clipp & guess what it was. Well it was a clipping saying that Carmen hastings got marries to some guy in Nebraska. Boy it sure was a surprising thing.

Also got a letter from Doris Heikkila & her family seems to be pretty jumbled up because their father almost choked to death and sort scared me too.

The Thompsons are lazy or something because I write & write & they never seem to answer at all & I'm scared they might have moved but I guess there still there.

There isn't hardly anything to say except that joke I just happened to think about it & it took me 5 days later to catch on because I wasn't thinking about that kind of stuff.

The Fajardo's don't write any more at all & I think they are just lazy. Well I guess I'll close.

I guess girls can't write when theirs nothing to say. (can't write period)
