Dear Joe,

How are you? Here it is Thursday nite but I'm calling it the 10th.

Tonite the pictorial edition of the Manzanar Free Press came & the pictures are real nice. As soon as I finish reading it I'll send it to you so that you may show all of your friends what it is like. Also the plans of the other buildings of Manzanar. In this pictorial edition theres a picture of Towru's graduation with him in it, a picture of fireman Kenny Mayeda, a picture of Merritt & the administration, the block leaders, mess & hospital divisions, schooling, working, & many other things. Gosh its not too hot but it really is pretty good for the 1st time.

The surprise hasn't arrived yet & I'm hoping that it will come soon. Maybe tomorrow or Saturday. Also I'm expecting a letter from you. Lately not very many letters have come around. Well, nothing much has happened except the same old routine is still a going & the time is really being waisted. Well, so long until next time.
