Hello Joe,

We finally got word from the Boultons. I thought for a while that something had gone wrong. They said that we wanted the house by June to the Affoulters and so the Affoulters are looking for a place. The Boultons even mentioned that if we wanted anybody to meet us at the depot, they told us not to hesitate to ask them for they would gladly come. I thought that was really nice of them to say that. That makes it sound as though we are leaving next week or so!

Yas Kitagawa was saying that Davey was supposed to be coming back to camp for a visit this week. That's really nice isn't it.

Yesterday afternoon Yas and another friend were passing by and they told me to come to their anniversary party. Naturally I thought it was going to be all eats. When I got there, what do you know? All dancing! Gee, I didn't dance since Tor was back in camp. I sure was fun.

With good dancers it was easy but the fun fellows that tried all kinds of funny steps, well! My soles would get caught & I'd bump & what not. But even tho' I did make mistakes it was fun. One fellow kept on insisting that he knew Aiji and Momo and said he came over our place when we came to camp but I couldn't remember. What a memory! They had the broomstick dance and I happened to be the stooge because I didn't understand since I don't go dancing like a lot of the people. Herbert Izumi, the smallest of the Izumi boys was the stooge when I was. So we both started the progressive. I always have something happen to me! I came home & fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed. I was tired because of the awkward positions in which I danced to do some of that pachooky junk. If you dance, never get into the style of pachook dancing. The girl that

dances with you really suffers.

It sure is hot today. I guess its pretty near the 90 degrees. Yesterday was a nice day, too. I sure am pretty glad to know that school is getting near its end. Only three more weeks to go! Boy, that's really something to shout about!

I forgot to tell you about this guy at the dance. He looked like a creeping ghost and all of us girls were laughing like heck. It's funny the way all the boys isolate in the corner. That's really bad. They shouldn't do that!

Today we had an assembly at school. This Cherooky Indian performed dances, love songs, war chants and it was very interesting. He told us what war paints were and so forth.

The Akiyama family relocated to Chicago and they seem to be very happy. All of the kids are gradually dropping out of school. Boy, it seems like camp is gradually getting

smaller.

Yesterday I ate the first piece of steak I had eaten for months. It was delicious. 20# mess hall is all shot. Garbage every day!

Well, I must be closing, now!

You ought to see the swell picture of Yone Kitagawa. Boy, she's getting very pretty!

So Long,

Mas
