Dear Joe & Tor,

How are you? Fine, I hope. We're all okay. Gee, sorry I didn't write for a long time. I really was studying & nightly I've been up to 11:00 studying mostly history. Gee, today we had a history test & I got all answers so I don't think I can get a low grade in that test. Gee, I sure got a lousy grade in the short hand test & I certainly was disappointed. Gosh, the teacher dictates real fast & then never repeats it. Gosh, I hate shorthand. Only I'm not going to loose fight on it as I did latin. I got my English paper back with a good A. Also my typing paper with a A-. Gee, I'm doing practically good in every subject except that stinky short hand. I'm the squad leader in gym. Well, I guess you think its a bunch of bunk, Tor. I know you! You never believe me. Well, I guess this is enough for this junky school stuff.

Guess what! I got a letter from Doris Heikkila the other day. You remember her don't you! She was the blond that lived next door to the Fajardo's. She enclosed a picture showing Donald & herself. Boy, she sure got good looking. Donald & Doris both look pretty old. Donald was sworn into the Navy & he's waiting for his call.

I'm listening to Henry Aldrich & also trying to concentrate on this letter. I just got back from the show. I saw a real spooky show which was the “Lodger” with Merle Oberon & George Sanders. Gosh, we all screamed!!

I haven't seen or done anything except my tendings to school stuff. Well, Amy's sisters got back from Detroit & they really are white. They bought a lot of things & the whole families happy. Gosh, I wish it were you guys.

Amy's sister told her that she read in a Detroit newspaper that Julia Horimoto's sisters name was in for being a thief of a jewelers store while working there. Maybe it's a mistake. I hope it is. Anything to save her (Julia's) sisters reputation.

George Ichien has probably reach Chicago now & you've probably got it (the camera & film) back. Some of the pictures probably won't come out because of mistakes but if some of the ones come out good, I'd really want to see how they come out. I hope they are good!

Aiji went out of camp with Momo but he's back again. He just left on the 6th.

Oh yes, I made the pictures sort of in an memorial way. I took 2 with your colored picture & 2 trophies & also with yours, Tor. I took a lot of pictures with the silver dish. Some of me & Amy. Me, pop, mom. Mom & pop alone & some people like Sakata's, Odahara, Hayawiza, Kitagawas, Nishigawas & I didn't take the Suzuki's because they didn't want it taken. Especially that dumb lady. I was going to take their picture one day & so the lady goes & tries to fix her self up inside of the house. She stays in till the sun went down. Man, I sure felt mad.

Well, I'm glad the days are getting shorter. The dust storms are gradually coming up & the days are colder. Well, I guess this is all but the next time I write, it won't be so boring of a letter & I hope you can write more than what I've been doing. This is just another hello letter so don't expect much of it.

So long,

Mas
