Dear Joe and Towru,

Thank you very much for the last letters.

Glad to hear your okay and every thing is coming along okay.

Well, Mack Mayeda left at last. The day before he left, some one thought of a farewell party for Mack and so at the last minute, we went to the canteen and bought some stuff. The party was in the block office. It started around 9:00. First the refreshments were served, which consisted of egg sandwiches, cookies, crackers and coca cola. Mack gave some words and then the dancing started. The first song was dedicated to Mack. Gee whiz, he comes up to me asks me the first thing. Gosh, I did have a lot of fun. The last dance was also dedicated to Mack and he asked me again. At that dance, I didn't miss a single one. Pretty good huh! The farewell ended at 10:00.

The next day Mack, the Ishida's, and Eddie Muraoka and Mr. Nakamaki went to Oregon. Right the next day after they went, the Kanegai's went some place.

Last week we had finals for the six weeks. Gosh, what a relief to forget all your of worries.

Sometime ago, we had open house which was pretty good. The history classes I'm in had the best exhibit of all.

Between all of the classes, I mean the periods, we had a challengement of who has the best exhibit and most visitors. Well, the period I was in won and so we got the prize of no final examination. Swell huh!

At open house Mr. Greenly was walking along and almost ran into the latrine so Miyo and I guided him around. He introduced us to some Caucasian boy. It was fun.

The school auditorium is practically finished, I mean, it will be all complete in June at the rate they are going.

Roy Higa sent me a shell necklace from Tule. Gosh he writes pretty good letters.

I got a letter from Mack and his address is Route 1, Box 235, Vale, Oregon. Pretty good huh, having someone like Mack write for a change.

You know that song you brought me, (Smoke gets in your eyes). I learned it in 3 hrs. and I can play it perfect. I am aiming to get "Rhapsody in Blue" but I don't know when. You ought to hear me play. Hot stuff!!!!

Last week they showed "Beau Geste" and it was really good. Tomorrow night, the Manzanights are showing Frank Sinatra's "Higher & Higher" and Tuesday they are showing "Iron Major".

This is all I can think of so, I bade farewell or adios.

Mas.
