Joe,

Received your card today concerning my visit here and I will kindly explain my plans. I am going to do exactly what Kay Juniye has done and get inducted from camp. According to my board, I will be probably inducted on April 7th, however, if I get inducted through camp, I won't go in until May. On top of that, I won't have to pay for my meals here, so you can see that the best set-up would be for me to stay

in camp. Theres also a couple of other minor reasons but that's the main one. I'm going to get my dough back for the train ticket.

If it turns out that I'm pretty sure of staying out of the army for quite some time, say till fall, then I'll come back out. But I'm pretty sure that I'll be leaving with the first Manzanar gang. Now, is that clear? In other words, I'm not returning to Chicago and I'm going to stay here until induction. Now,

about the P.A. system. Steve Ogata wanted to buy it when I came back. However, I guess you'll have to take care of that for me now. Sell it to him for $15.00 if he still wants it. It needs a new pick-up and a number "80" tube in one speaker if he desires to use both at the same time. Otherwise, everythings okay. I was going to fix that up before I sold it to him but I guess its out of the question now. If he doesn't want it, ask Bob if hes still interested. Send all my other junk, radio tubes, etc, home

whenever possible. However how come no records, bud? Been waiting for those things for a h____ of a long time. I won't be here forever so hurry those records before its too late. By the way, Steves telephone number is Liv. 3552.

I guess that's about all there is, so I'll be signing off. Don't forget those dog-gone records and let me know the set up on the P.A. and etc. George Ichien is leaving with Tom in Chicago now.

Always,

Towru
