Dear Joe,

Arrived in Reno at 2:30 A.M., slept and took a bath at a hotel there. Met the escort at 9:00 A.M. and reached Manzanar at 5:00 P.M. Had a swell trip except for the dust I got on the train. Everyone was caught by surprise except Mack who had a slight suspicion since Bobby Fujioka and Minoru Takimoto were coming in the same day.

You can imagine the joy seen in Mama's face as we embraced and she cried on my shoulder as I told her of my classification which would eliminate me from over-seas action.

My friends and I have been gabbing about Chicago day and night, night and day and I'm so doggone hoarse, I've almost lost my voice completely.

My baggage didn't arrive soon enough in Chicago so I won't get my stuff till today. Been wearing the same clothes for about 6 days now including the underwear.

George Ichien is planning to leave camp Wednesday March 15 for Chicago to join Tom. He's also making his trip by automobile.

Camp is rather sabishi which is quite noticeable from the moment you step in the gates. Most of the younger set are getting ready for relocation somewhere, - many to Chicago.

Hey Joe, will you send me my records right away? This includes "Boogie Woogie," "American Patrol," "He's my guy," "Velvet Moon," "Old Black Magic," and "Emperor's Waltz" if possible. Please send immediately!

I guess this is all for now but I'll write again. Don't expect too much correspondence during my short stay here.

Always, Towru

P.S. My best regards to G.D.I.
