Received 3 your letters which you sent Seattle Immigration last night one dated Dec. 19, 20 and 22 but same time censored and also safe razor, etc. Every body just same. Nakagawa & someone received omochi so divided 1/2 or 1/4 small one to everyone our dormitory. They have "N. American Times" too. They came here 9 days before I came. Matsuda visit me (#27) almost every day & night. Tsuji O.K. too. I am alway [always] with you & sons in my heart just like photo in my pocket. I read Bible every day pray 7 A.M.

it's 6 A.M. Seattle time. Restaurant opening time and set radio to Seattle station. We bought new 50 feet antena [antenna] yesterday now on easy to hear Seattle station 4 or 5 of them special in early morning clear. Someone compose Missoula ondo many friends dance it. Last night Okuda's 75 years birthday party in my dormitory. I and Arima sang that Missoula ondo like this. I will tell just one of them:

"Missoula KURU (MIRU) NIWA JENIKANE IRANU KISHAMO TOKUTO DE korya OTOMO TSUKI YO [illegible]."

We are happy here but when

I think you & sons working hard and lonesome, make cry sometime. Please be cheerful, horpfull [hopeful] with our Lord Christ.

This Saturday but 4th letter so I must hold until Monday. This #1 of 2nd week of mine. We separated Dec. 7 but much more. Unit [unite] with our hearts as you feel as you experienced. Please don't set plate for me any more just the same thank you, because may be long long time or unknown.

Store & home rent 1 month every month. Tell them old one can not now, and don't know old one. One month one month pay base.

I read p. 1 last night. Seattle so cold too, worry about home. You work too hard to chop wood. Restaurant haven't heat too. 9 A.M. just 0 zero this morning outside front door our camp. Weekday 3 meals Sunday, 2 meals 9 and 4:30. Cold but bright sunshine here. Nice view around mountains.

1/5 9 A.M. (8 A.M. Seattle time)

Good new week morning dear. Get up 7 & hear KIRO Seattle (6 A.M.) says "very cold." Yes cold here too. 8 A.M. outside 0-22 degree. Last night I met Kawakami's best friend Toguri�s younger brother Los Angeles, Calif. We held "seishin kowa" 7 last night 1/2 hour instead service.

Please telephone Mrs. Arima he is O.K. but he don't write much to home. He is always with me, he read Bible now a days. Will you send new J. magazine possible any kind. We have none beside Bible. I want also Great N. News too, I ask too many things?

I PRAY 7 A.M. & 9 P.M. Restaurant open & close Seattle time 6 & 8. I like know Seattle friends, businesses, other one, paper news. How George, he going to University tomorrow? He need 30 or 35 dollars next month Feb. I think. Please make finance for last term this 1st year and tell him make and ready for 2nd year October.
