My dearest Katsuno:

Received your 9th letter duly to my hand last night, very glad you are solid and on duty. I guess you met Mr. Tadashi already and learn many things. I am grand by God's marcy [mercy] and busy at Mayor's office on account of many affairs now a days, but I joined the Ode society in my leisured time.

I received 2nd prize of seventeen syllables ode, it's recite "O FULL MOON! DEAR WIFE AND CHILD, WOULD LOOK UP, AT TEMPORARY HOME, TOO" I have more and more.

Yes, we have automatic gas heater, which we set at seventy degree now, so she keep up warm as we set the meter. It's great. Sorry you haven't coal yet, Dear. Uncle is satisfactory now he got Roy's hand writing letter, said. I am waiting the Japanese letter you send me but I understand take it full month some time. It is good! They go to work in the Farm as cooperate to defence [defense] program as same time they earn money.

My next bed man made me another flower vase with my polished Missoula stones yesterday. He making for others to-day.

We had talent show last Sunday again. Enjoyed it immensely. Experts every one of them, especially handsome looking guy from Hawai [Hawaii] some singer and how he danced gracefully and charmingly, mean, the great who danced "Autumn Night" wished he danced in Lady's costume, however he appeared in it in another dance with other "girls" who entertained us greatly too.

Remember me to Mrs. Ito, Yeikichi, Kumataro, Sunohara & others.

With Love

Sincerely Yours
Genji
