My Dearest Katsuno,

How are you. Am well. Hot but under hundred degree now. I watched the solar eclipse Wednesday eve while thinking of you. I dare say you watched it too. My window is eastside, friends laid out a garden sunny side of our barrack. Every morning at six I gaze far away the Venus with untiring and pray before go to latrine, walk the garden outside my window before 7 o'clock breakfast. Almost all night in the dark a cricket chirps at my pillow side between the bed of next elder man sleeping. Make me awaken good while but bring to dream with you in paradise.

We published the Lordsburg Times 2 pages doing in Japanese but sorry can't send out. Also no report about the public camp situation. I will write my private affair. I resign the mayor yesterday but the session refused to accept and re-elected again. I read your Camp Harmony's souvenir edition Aug. 15th newsletter with very interesting.

We held farewell party last night for my secretary, minister and others. Mayor give tremendous speech to them and audience. Most of us very seriously especially to remain family.

Writing to Mrs. Yone and receiving very sorry for [censored] honest wife and family. Waiting for your letter every day that become my habit now as I take the bath every day.

With love

Sincerely yours Genji
