My Dearest Katsu: --

How are you? Am well and busy at office as usual. The rumour [rumor] is not correct, we are satisfactory good treatment here now under my mayoralty by based Rules the text Geneva Convention of 1929. I met Honour [Honor] Lemuel B. Schofield chief director Immigration Service of U.S.A. Came from Philadelphia, PA. at my office I alone on Monday night June 15th. He is great and excellence has American spirit. He add humorously said "where is mayoress?" We run canteen store ourselves but no bakery pastry goods. Before, yesterday I conduct with a officer and order many dozen of pie etc. At 5 P.M. its delivered, after five minutes all sold out. They call me "Mei Shicho." Officer told me movie show for us near future. Tell friends Mihara is very busy at Mayor post much more to serve than Seattle Chamber. Did you get a gallon can full rocks from Kawakami which I sent to you. May I tell you many my friends told me to prize your good character and chastity. Its my pride. I pray every morning for you and boys to divine protection and thy guidance. Please best care yourself. Give my best regards to all I know. You better walk around every day and see more green and [illegible].
