My Dearest Katsu:

Thanks for your loving letter. Very glad you well. There can be no greater pleasure than for a family to live in harmony but we were obliged to part at this grim problem as accessory of war. In these days of severe struggle for existence, it is most important to be possessed of a calm and resigned spirit in faith. O yes, you would understand about elderly affair which I told you, if not you will on or later but don't believe you said because you are my half and sweet bosom. You should not say so insincerely thing again. It shows cold heartedness for you. I in our faith, I read Bible dairy [daily] psalm [censored] today. Please you keep dairy [daily] to live nobly life. Learned Mrs. Shiraishi went to Calif. near Fresno. Now you heard about camp minutely from friends. Many friends leaving but someone to native land via East Coast. I have many more rocks and bring with me anywhere I go and polish to refine. Last night prayer meeting was splendid. [censored].

The voice of truth comes to you most clearly in times of deep meditation. As meditate upon divine ideas, your mind is clarified and your life elevated. God's truth is now and always accessible to you. It offers the most sublime and satisfying study of all time. Please be cheerful with Grace and my prayer. We will hold entertainment tomorrow night before past. My regards to Misao san to write more letter, Mr. & Mrs. Seiji, Okada san, Mrs. Okiyama, Kanazawa. Best care yourself, the boys relying to you.

With love

Yours Genji
