Mathews, Registrar, Dean of Admissions, The University of Texas, Austin, Texas: "You made a very nice record at the University of Washington and you have a very fine letter about you from the Relocation Council. We shall, therefore, be much pleased to have you join our [illegible] at the opening o our second semester..."

Lovett, Manager Savings Department, Seattle-First National Bank, Seattle, Washington: "We are in receipt of your letter of July 1st stating that you would like to have us send you certified statement of the balance in your account in the amount of 81546.00 ... His statement to me was that inasmuch as the President and Board of Regents as well as myself had considered the matter and forward their coming, he, as Mayor, would cooperate."
