Nisei female. Born September 19, 1924, in Los Angeles, California. Grew up in Los Angeles where father worked in Little Tokyo. During World War II, removed to the Santa Anita Assembly Center, California, and the Heart Mountain concentration camp, Wyoming. Soon after arriving in Heart Mountain, was able to leave camp to attend National College in North Carolina. Eventually returned to California.
