In this video, Jo Takata talks about her mother, Nellie Takeda. Nellie was born in Alameda, California, and was married just before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. During World War II, removed to the Tanforan Assembly Center, California, and the Topaz concentration camp, Utah. After the war, returned to Alameda and lived for a number years at the Buena Vista United Methodist Church.
