Her father was a foreman for a cantaloupe and honeydew grower in Brawley. Kikue grew up mainly in Brawley. When the war broke out she and her family were relocated to the Poston concentration camp, Arizona. After the war, her family stayed in Minnesota and eventually moved to Monterey, California.\r\n\r\nThis interview is part of the South Bay History Project created by the South Bay Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League.",
