The letter describes Camp Robinson, where his son, Mitsuo (Mike), had been sent for military training. On January 23, 1942, the government decided to send Japanese American soldiers who were still in service to special camps in Arkansas and Alabama. The majority of these Nisei went to Camp Robinson in Arkansas, where they performed noncombat duties for the duties for the next two years.             "description": "Within the War Relocation Authority Camps, the Office of Price Administration set up a system of War Ration Books. Camp inmates could purchase the books, which contained war ration stamps. The stamps enabled them to purchase items in the army stores in the camps. The purpose of the ration books was to help the war effort and discourage the black market selling of items. Each book contained a Certificate of Book Holder, which stated that the holder agreed to the rules and regulations of the program. Since Bill Iseri was under 18 years of age, his sister signed for him. The certificate of Registrar, issued to Bill Iseri, contained War Ration stamps which could be exchanged for goods in camp stores.",
