The float has a large Jack-in-a-box made of red and white flowers at the back that is open with a clown's head sticking out.  In the middle of the float are a number of presents made of white, yellow and red flowers, at the front of the float is a large birthday cake made of pink and red flowers.  Three girls stand around the cake each holding a flower.  Sitting atop a present is a young boy waving pink and orange flowers at the crowd.  The side of the float reads \"Shell Oil Co.\"  The Portland Rose Festival Parade is an annual event in which floats are made out of flowers and paraded down the streets of Portland.
