The float has five women in gowns sitting on top waving at the crowd, one man is seated on a throne made of yellow flowers. The side of the float reads \"Barrians,\" the front reads \"Newberg.\"  On the front of the float a small yellow sign with the number 18 is visible.  The Portland Rose Festival Parade is an annual event in which floats are made out of flowers and paraded down the streets of Portland.
