Theirs was a called El Amigo. In the 1970s the Ishii Family sold the store to the Miyoshi family. Left behind in the store was a warehouse full of family photos, correspondences and other memorabilia. Numerous attempts were made by the Miyoshi family to return the personal items, but the Ishii family did not want them. \r\n\r\nChuhei \"Charles\" and Futaba (Nakajima) married in 1915 and had 3 sons, Robert, Tom, and Calvin. Tom went to Japan where he was enrolled in college before the war. Robert was attending Stanford University while Calvin was still in high school. Chuhei was arrested on December 13, 1941 and transferred to Tuna Canyon, then Fort Missoula, next Fort Sill, and finally Santa Fe. On Sept. 2, 1943 Chuhei was deported to Japan. Robert, Calvin and their mother Futaba were detained at Gila River. Calvin and Futaba were deported to Japan in June of 1943, while Robert stayed in the US and left Gila River in 1944 for Philadelphia. In 1955 Chuhei and Futaba returned to the United States. Futaba gained citizenship in 1961. Chuhei passed in 1972, Futaba in 1989, and Robert in 1980. No death records were located for Calvin and Tom, according information provided by the lender and found in Ancestry they may passed while conscripted in the Japanese Army.","relatedmaterial":"Toru Miyoshi Family Collection (ddr-densho-480)","search_hidden":"","download_large":"ddr-densho-546-3-mezzanine-8375bb4859-a.jpg"}
