He attended Cleveland High School in Seattle and was incarcerated at Tule Lake.  Yoshiko (Abe) Shiomi was born in January 11, 1923 in El Monte, California.  She received her license in Cosmotology just prior to Pearl Harbor.  She was incarcerated at Heart Mountain.  Hardy and Yoshiko were married in Minnesota in 1945 and their son William Ken Shiomi was born in 1946.  The Shiomis settled in Monterrey Park, California. Daughters Susan and Leslie were born in 1952 and 1955.  Hardy and Yoshiko Shiomi travelled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, Mexico and the United States in the 1970's.","search_hidden":"","download_large":"ddr-densho-522-64-mezzanine-cad48b84dd-a.jpg"}
