Husband passed away in 1946, and Ms. Okamoto worked as a secretary for the State of Washington while raising three children. In later life, active with the Highland Park Methodist Church where she had been the organist since 1934.<p>(This interview was conducted as part of a project to capture stories of the Japanese American community of Spokane, Washington.
