Par Morita is center in the white hat. Day of Remembrance participants met at Rainier and McClellan, the former location of Sick's Stadium. After registering they caravanned down to the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup.

Nisei male. Born July 22, 1928, in Seattle, Washington. Grew up in Seattle before being removed to the Puyallup Assembly Center, Washington, and the Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. Following World War II, worked for the U.S. Department of State as a foreign service officer.

This family operated the Green Lake Gardens Company, a five-acre complex of greenhouses and farms in North Seattle. They grew Easter Lilies, large standard chrysanthemums (pictured), and vegetables that were shipped around Seattle and Washington State.
