Female of Suquamish and Filipino descent. Born January 25, 1918. Grew up on the Squamish Reservation near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Moved to Bainbridge Island to work on the strawberry farms in 1942, and married and raised a family there. Ms. Almojuela passed away on November 26, 2011.
