DESCRIPTION
Envelope addressed to Dr. Kei Koyama at Missoula from an unknown sender (possibly the Andrew and Eva Goodenoughs). Postmarked January 19, 1942. Purple "CENSORED" stamp on the lower left side of the envelope. On the back of the envelope “Goodenough” is written in pencil. Letter dated Jan 18, 1942, with a return address in Portland from "Uncle Chape and Aunt Eva." In the middle of the letter is a purple "Censored" stamp. In the letter they talk about the 14 years the two families have known each other, and that they still love Kei and the Koyamas as family. They pray often for him and hope that he finds solace in God and justice. They write that Kei should not to worry about the family as many people are helping his wife Teru. They tell Kei that Chape's condition is the same.
