Kenjiro and Miyuki “Kay” Kida Family Collection

Letter from James Albert "Al" Johnson to Kay, George and Kida (Kenjiro Kida) dated February 6, 1944. Al writes that Mrs. Sidney Miller and Sadie McCoy wanted to get Sarah "Sade" Pyatt out of the hospital and send her to live with the Kida family in Eastern Oregon. Al told them that George was going into the army and Kay and Kenjiro were moving back to the Japanese center. He advised the Kida family against taking in Sarah "Sade" Pyatt. Reminds George to avoid the draft. Talks about death in the community and an upcoming trip to Portland. Addition to letter written and possibly mailed together, please see ddr-one-3-70.
