Black and white photographic print of Olinda Saito’s house outside of Tokyo with seven individuals standing or seated around dining table. From left: Olinda Saito seated, Olinda’s boyfriend Raymond Funakoshi (standing), unidentified Japanese athlete (seated), unidentified woman, Olinda’s youngest sister Aki Saito (standing), Tami Okamura (seated) and Olinda Saito’s mother (seated). Olinda was a Japanese citizen whose father was Japanese consul in Sao Paolo, Brazil before WWII. He returned to Japan before WWII began. Donor met Olinda when Olinda began working as librarian at Detachment S, the officers school.
