Children are dressed in traditional Japanese children's ceremonial costumes and walk in a line down a street in front of the US Custom House in Northwest Portland. They are following Tom Shigeto Tamiyasu and a large black vehicle with yellow and white flowers on top. Two girls are identified in crowd: first to the left in left hand line: Sharon (Saito) Gattis, and seventh to the left, right hand line: Nancy (Matsunaga) Sakuragi.
