Nippu Jiji Photograph Archive, "Japanese American" Collection

Translation of article: Civil engineer, Mr. Akinaka Yoshinori, opens his office from July 1st. The assistant engineer of the state planning department, Akinaka Yoshinori opened his office at 1061 Alakea St. He is a certified public civil engineer as well as a surveyor. He graduated from McKinley High School and the University of Hawaii. In 1930, he began to work as an architect in Honoulu. He worked for the U.S. construction logistics office at Hickam Air Force Base before working for the state planning department. He is a member of the Hawaii Engineer Association, Hawaii Science Society, Hawaii Boat Race Association, Hawaii Japanese Citizen Association and Oahu Citizen National Defense.
